In Shirwell, North Devon and Exmoor we are blessed with beautiful landscapes and exceptional environments, so whether you come here for the walking, the cycling, the twitching or the wildlife there's always somewhere new to explore and something new to learn.
Seemingly endless stretches of sandy beaches with extraordinary dune systems make North Devon's coastline one of the finest in the world. Approximately 20-30 minutes driving distance away are some of the best beaches to explore, including Woolacombe, Saunton, and Croyde - also famous for its surfing facilities.
To the north is the rugged coastline around Lynton and Lynmouth, with the superb National Trust property, Arlington Court, en route. To the east is Exmoor National Park, providing excellent walking country.
There are three country pubs all approximately within a three mile radius. Barnstaple, North Devon's Regional Centre, is also only 4 miles away providing excellent shopping and leisure facilities it's also a great place to buy fresh local produce.
